Louise Baker attended a Multi Agency Safeguarding Children Foundation Training Course on 11 June 2008. This an essential training course that allows practitioners to learn how to recognise the signs and symptoms of child abuse and teaches the protocol behind the management of such incidences.
Louise provides specialist one-to-one in the setting and acts as a member of our relief staff.

It’s time to say goodbye to Leanne Weir. Her last day at Rum Tum’s will be Friday 8th of August. We wish her well as she takes on a new role as a Nanny. She will be missed by children, staff and parents alike.
Charley Rowley will start her Maternity Leave later in August. She has worked incredibly hard in recent months to ensure that she completed her college course before her baby is born. Well done Charley. Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy. We’re all looking forward to meeting your son in due course.
We are being joined by Jessamine Bower in August. Jessamine will be an Apprentice working with the Mungojerries. I’m sure you will introduce yourselves to her and support her in her development within the nursery team.
As part of Laura Boultwood’s professional development, she will changing rooms and working with the toddlers and taking a lead in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum for this age group. We are looking forward to supporting her as she takes on this new challenge.
Anneliese Hickson will also be broadening her skills, spending 3 days each week with the Mungojerries. Anneliese has also been extremely successful at college this year and is looking forward to continuing her studies to a Level III standard in the coming academic year. We’re very proud of your efforts, Anneliese!
We are currently discussing a return to work pattern with Linsey Brown. As details are confirmed, I will pass on more information. Interviews are also underway for another nursery nurse, we have seen a mixture of candidates and are assessing suitablility over the coming days.
When the changes are up and running, I will post a new staff structure on the blog. We’ve had lots of positive comments about the Staff Photos in the main entrance. We want to extend this so that each room has a similar display of it’s key team and their roles and responsibilities.

Just to let parents/carers know that I will be on leave from 28th July for 2 weeks. Sharon Nicoll and Laura Boultwood will be deputising for me in my absence. However, August invoices will not be prepared until the week commencing 11th. I will be contactable by email and mobile phone for urgent matters.
