How We Work
Policies and Procedures: To ensure that every session runs smoothly and safely, to meet with current legislation and guidelines, we have a series of policies and procedures that we follow. Below are that statements from our central policies. Others that we hold can be down loaded from the downloads tab.
Mission Statement: Rum Tum Tugger’s Nursery is a community based facility providing the highest standard of childcare for children in the age range 3 months to 5 years. As a team we aim to ensure that the social, emotional and educational needs of each child will be met and provided for, using the best possible care and attention. Our objective is two fold. Firstly to give parent’s their first choice in childcare measured by the children’s enjoyment of the early years experience and secondly, to recognise that a child’s needs and safety are Paramount and must override all other considerations. Safeguarding Children Statement. Rum Tum Tugger’s Nursery are determined to take all necessary steps to protect children and young people from harm, both while in our care and those we have association with.
Health and Safety statement: We aim to take all measures to ensure that the nursery environment is safe and secure, minimising the risk of injury from hazards and damage to property. We take responsibility, as far as practicably possible, to extend this protection to all users, workers and visitors to our nurseries.
Equality Mission Statement:At Rum Tum Tugger’s Nursery we strive to celebrate and value the differences of the children and families in our local and learning communities. We aim to offer inclusive practice providing children the opportunity to play and discover together and to learn from and enjoy the uniqueness of others.
Parental Involvement statement: We believe that a parent/carer involvement is an integral part of good childcare. We aim to ensure that all parents/carers feel welcome and comfortable in their child’s environment.
Behaviour Policy Statement: By positively promoting good behaviour, valuing cooperation and by demonstrating a positive and caring attitude, children develop as responsible members of society.
