We like to make a record of the many
events and activities that happen at Rum Tum Tugger’s. Sometimes,
the local press are involved and we wanted to share some of their

Peter Henshaw finds out all about a special boy who is an
inspiration to his friends.
The first sight of one special boy against cerebral palsy has inspired
dozens of youngsters to learn sign language at Rum Tum Tuggers Nursery.
Three year old Jake Smith cannot talk or walk after his brain was
starved of oxygen at birth.
His parents Jonathan and Abigail are fighting back against the condition.

It really nice to have Jake in the nursery. It gives the children
the opportunity to be integrated into Jakes world as well as Jake
being integrated into the nursery. They have been Learning the sign
language and this gives them the chance to be able to do everything
with him. "I would Just like to say thank you to all the parents
and the school for putting so much work and effort into Jake and their

A touch of australian Aboriginal culture was brought to Rum Tum Tuggers
Nursery, North Weald, when a didjeridu player visited. Gareth Rowan,
from church Langley, has two children at the Vicarage Road West nursery
