Let’s Go on a Play Date1>
Play dates are a good way for parents to get to know other parents in the nursery, as well as great way to establish friendships that the children make in settings.
Play dates give children another opportunity to develop their personal, social and emotional muscles, which is encouraged by the EYFS. They are also a great way to help a child settle into nursery.
I have put together a parent board at the main entrance where parents can put a note inviting other parents on play dates. Please check it out and put it to good use. As the weather gets warmer, the number of places you can meet for dates increases. There is even a play ground right outside the school gate.
Mini challenge: Organize a play date with another parent.
If you need help and suggestions, your child’s key worker can make suggestions.
